Mary Delgado

I grew up in the Midwest in a large, fun, Catholic family. As a high school and college student, for ten years, I had the honor and privilege of working with EWTN and Providential Communications as a writer, actress, and producer of two children’s television series, Angel Force and Knights of Saint Michael. Being  a singer and songwriter, I collaborated on and recorded three CDs: Broadway and Beyond, A Night to Remember,and Magdalen. After graduating from Ave Maria University in 2006, I was hired to travel as an actress and speaker for two years with Ave Maria on the Road.The past decade has been spent working with several authors as an editor and book designer. I have a deep love for story, a passion to inspire young people, and a deep respect for the written word. 

I am now married with children of my own. Though I spent much of my life writing and editing, it was only after reading countless children's picture books (over and over and over...), that I had an idea of the stories I could tell. I decided I wanted to write out the stories that my own children inspired, and Meant to Fly Studio took flight! We began telling stories that inspire virtue and courage in children by giving them stories and characters to remember, focusing on the good, true, and beautiful.

I hope these books will inspire, engage, and challenge young readers to pursue virtue, beauty, and truth. And that they contain stories that the parents do not minding to read aloud over and over and over.…
